Brandon Lodge has been described as the jewel in the crown of Swedish Lapland. Not only does it prevail authenticity by being locally owned and managed, but it also enjoys a near perfect setting on the shores of Bothnian Bay. This property strikes the perfect balance between relaxation and activity through its wealthy choice of excursions. Relax in one of the 15 detached wooden cabins or, hire a fat bike and explore the Arctic Archipelago.
Each cabin compromises of two bedrooms with two single beds, lounge with kitchenette, bathroom with shower, covered porch and a view. Owner Göran Widén is a full of information, having grown up in the area, and is more than happy to introduce guests to the Arctic way of life.
Day 1 - Day of Arrival
On arrival at Lulea Airport, you will be transferred in around 40 minutes to your accommodation, Brandon Lodge. All guests will be given winter clothing (overall, boots and mittens) for use during their stay.

Day 2 - Learn Nordic Winter Skills on Snowshoes
This morning, after breakfast, depart on a 3-hour snowshoe activity which includes discovering Nordic winter skills followed by lunch in a traditional Sami tent. An informative, fun and active excursion, you will discover what life is like in the sub-Arctic as well as the essential skills used to survive in nature, such as how to master lighting a fire, cook outdoors and dress in such a cold climate. After a brief introduction to the activity, the use of snowshoes will allow you to reach otherwise inaccessible areas. Note: Participants should be relatively fit to fully appreciate this experience. Throughout the afternoon you will have plenty of free time to relax or, perhaps take the chance to pre-book an activity. There are a variety of activities that can be arranged – learn how to catch fish on an Ice Fishing trip; or for something unique perhaps a Hovercraft Pack Ice tour, an exciting way to explore the frozen islands and an easy way to travel long distances (weather permitting).
Day 3 - Morning Nature Tour by Snowmobile and Evening Aurora Dinner
After breakfast, get ready to leave for a morning Nature Tour by Snowmobile. During this 2-hour activity, following your guide, you will snowmobile into the wilderness of Swedish Lapland, where you will find locally known gems and breathtaking viewpoints. A welcome stop by the fire for a warm drink is included before your return to Brandon Lodge.
Enjoy lunch at your accommodation followed by free time in the afternoon. In the evening, prepare for an experience like no other. Where you will be transferred to the frozen sea by a snowmobile pulled sled for an Aurora Hideaway dining experience. Enjoy a three-course candle-lit dinner, prepared and cooked over an outdoor fire by your guide under the dark starry sky. During this 3-hour excursion you will have the opportunity to take a short snowshoe walk and if the conditions permit, there is also the possibility you will witness the phenomena of the Northern Lights. A welcome drink is included, and alcoholic beverages can be bought at a supplement (payable locally).

Day 4 - Day of Departure
After breakfast you will be transferred to Lulea Airport for your return flight to the UK.
